4 for SZN4 March 17th - Championship Edition

Mar. 17, 2026

4 for SZN4 March 17

Bouchier 14U AAA HC Edmonton

How Sweep it is

HC Edmonton started 2026 with a loss in early January, then never looked back, finishing the season with 11 straight wins, including two straight in the Prospects Cup championship. HCE took out Surrey Eagles HA with dominant 7-1 and 5-1 victories.

It’s the second title at the 14U division, having won it all in year two of the JPHL.

Parker Garlitos put up four points in two games, while both Jayden Gardiner and Shaheya Morin earned a victory in goal.

It’s expected that a good portion of both finalists are returning to the JPHL to play in the 15U division.

Double-Dipping

Bow Valley HC did something no other team in the JPHL accomplished this season. Winning the Bauer Winter Championships and the Prospects Cup. Bow Valley edged Langley in three hard-fought games to win its first league title.

Game one required overtime, where Bow Valley’s Elliott Irwin notched the game-winner. After Langley forced game three, team Bigfoot secured the title with a 4-2 victory thanks to a pair of goals from Milan Liptaj.

Czechia star Dominik Valta had points in every playoff game for Bow Valley, with 11 points in eight games.

First Hub Title

Coquitlam HC, like all teams, faced adversity this season, including a tough loss in the Bauer Winter Championships. But what a way to bounce back, with a title run which included beating the Calgary Rockies in three games.

Coquitlam earned revenge on Langley for the Winters loss, then lost game one of the championships before roaring back with two straight victories.

Ethan Caputo scored the series-winning goal and added an assist in game three while also scoring in a game two victory.

It is the first title for the Coquitlam HC hub, and should inspire future teams to similar success.

Two-Time Champs

It was a decisive sweep by HC Edmonton with 8-4 and 7-2 victories over Coquitlam HC. It claimed its second JPHL title in four years, after winning in year one. HC Edmonton has now been to the Prospects Cup final in three of four JPHL seasons.

Easton Arndt continued to make an impact as a late-season addition to HCE, with four points in the series opener. Edmonton was clinical in the first period, outshooting Coquitlam 27-3.

Edmonton fired 43 shots in game two, which was never really in doubt as Daniel Skalicky and Brock McDougall each notched three points as HCE built up 3-0 and 5-1 leads en route to the championship.
